WIDE covers all editorial production and distribution costs. In return, you grant us exclusive publishing, distribution and sales rights for the print and digital edition for 5 years. You always remain the author; you don’t receive royalties on sales, because our work is paid by the book’s sales rather than by an advance from you.
What stays with you
- You can sell the book as a PDF through your own channels, for example your website.
- You can buy printed copies at publisher’s price and hand them out yourself.
- After 5 years you choose whether to continue with WIDE or take back your material (text, cover and layout as PDF) for a new edition.
- If you like, we set up your website to sell the PDF directly.

We publish and distribute. From here on, we take care of everything.
From handing over the text to publication usually takes a few weeks, depending on length and the state of the manuscript.

Questions about book and eBook publishing.
All questionsWhy don’t I receive royalties?
Because WIDE covers all production and distribution costs: our work is paid by the book’s sales, not by an advance from you. That’s what keeps the contribution so low. You always remain the author.
Can I sell the book myself?
Yes. You can sell it as a PDF through your channels and buy printed copies at publisher’s price from WIDE, delivered to you, to hand out at your events.
Ebook only, or print too?
We prioritise the ebook (EPUB and Amazon KDP). A printed version is available on demand, as an option.
Do you publish books in English?
Our books are published by an Italian publishing house and distributed online. Write to us about an English-language project and we’ll look at the feasibility together.
How long does it take?
Usually a few weeks after you hand over the text, depending on its length and condition. We give you a precise estimate after reading it.
Does the manuscript need to be finished?
Ideally, yes. If you have doubts about your material, write to us anyway and we’ll assess it together.
Are images in the book included?
We lay out the digital images you provide. Scanning or digitising paper originals isn’t included.
What about a multi-volume work?
Each volume is a book in its own right, with its own ISBN: the contribution applies to each volume.
What happens after 5 years?
Your choice: continue with WIDE or take back the text, cover and layout as PDF for a new edition on your own.
